UVS International invites you to travel differently, in a solidary way in order to help Senegalese population.

Country of 15 million inhabitants, located in the western part of the African continent and borders on a 700-kilometer coast on its west side, Senegal is full of diverse ecosystems, covered with several-centuries year old baobabs. A place where the sun is shining almost all year long and where plenty of habits and customs are giving the rhythm to the cultural agenda of the different regions.

On the road to Saint-Louis region with UVS International between August 10th and 24th 2019. 

Concerned public: 

Any individual who is 18 years of age or older can participate.
Under this age, people must be accompanied but will only be accepted from 14 years old.

Available places: 

The solidary travelers’ group will be composed of 25 people. The first people to register will have the priority and then a waiting list will be done, according to the reservations rank.

Price: 

A 1400€ donation to the association UNIS VERS le SPORT. The association will give you a tax receipt that will enable you to reduce it from 66%.

Thus, a 476€ actual cost.

It is included:

  • Food
  • Mineral water
  • Involvement in the School’s work
  • Cultural excursions

A 700€ deposit is asked to every solidary traveler at the registration (payment can be made by bank transfer or check to the order of UNIS VERS le SPORT association). It must be sent with the registration form and a copy of the passport in order to validate the process.

The balance of the solidary trip total amount must be paid before March 1st 2019.

Till one month before the departure : return of the part of the amount already paid, after deduction of the amount committed by UVS International.

From one month before the departure : no refunding available

Travelers will stay with locals, in pairs, close to the school work.

Every meal, except those during cultural excursions, will be taken with host families. 

Information meetings will be organized with solidary travelers:

-       In Alsace for the participants living in the region (place and date to be determined)

-       By telephone or Skype for the participants outside Alsace region

Each traveler will have to give a personal civil liability insurance attestation and also a medical certification proving he/she has no contraindication with the involvement in such a trip.

The yellow-fewer vaccine is an obligation in order to go to Senegal. Other vaccines are recommended but these issues might be discussed during trip preparatory meetings.
